Tithes and Offerings

The Bible reveals to us that the foundation concerning giving is the tithe. When we tithe, which is bringing the Lord the first 10 percent of our income, we put Him first in our lives. Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our thanks, our faith and our love to Him. Those who tithe can expect the promises of God concerning tithing to take place in their lives. (Malachi 3:10).

An offering, anything given after the tithe, helps further the growth of God’s work within the ministry like new or improved programs, equipment, and experiences. The offering also helps support other ministries and missions.                

When you give, according to Luke 6:38, you can expect that gifts will be given to you “good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over”.
